Squared's Razor

Our best theories of physics are not simple. Our best theories of the economy are not simple. Our best theories of psychology are not simple. Etc.
We can reason inductively that the best theory of metaphysics shouldn't be simple either. But this is in tension with the notion that simplicity is a theoretical virtue. So, we should aspire for a goldilocks metaphysical theory. One that is neither too complex, nor too simple.
